In 1969 a small group of concerned individuals met to discuss the challenges recreational snowomoibilers were facing. With damaging laws being written and too much attention given to the snowmobile racing circuit, the sport of recreational snowmobiling was almost unheard of. This small group of snowmoiblers had the foresight to recognize that this new sport could not survive without coordinated leadership. If laws were to be written with respect to snowmobiling, these snowmobilers needed to be involved in this legislation. The Association of Wisconsin Snowmobile Clubs is dedicated to the preservation of snowmobiling in Wisconsin and monitor regulations and proposed legisation that could affect this sport.
Wisconsin's snowmobile trail system is recognized nationally as having some of the best trails in the nation. Our trail system is comprised of more than 25,000 miles; all made possible by the volunteer efforts of the Wisconsin's snowmobile clubs.
